The Japanese Spitz Foundation is a non-profit research initiative dedicated to studying, preserving, and sharing reliable, evidence-based knowledge about the Japanese Spitz breed.

Who Is Behind the Project
The Foundation was initiated by Julia (Yuliya Malinina), whose involvement with the Japanese Spitz began in 2010.
What started as a search for reliable information gradually developed into a long-term research and archival effort. Over the years, books, articles, photographs, and historical records related to the Japanese Spitz were collected, verified, and systematically organised.
This website represents the outcome of that work and remains an open invitation for others to contribute knowledge, source materials, and documentation to help expand a shared, evidence-based understanding of the breed.

Research Approach and Limitations
This site reflects ongoing historical and research work. Some materials represent the understanding of their time and may differ from current knowledge. Where possible, sources are cited and contextualised.
Access to historical documents is often limited by language, geography, or availability. As a result, the Japanese Spitz archive is necessarily incomplete and continuously evolving.
Corrections, additional sources, and informed discussion are welcomed and encouraged as part of an open research process.
